Introduction
Timb3r ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our focus timer application.
Timb3r is designed with privacy in mind. We believe your productivity data belongs to you, and we've built our app to minimize data collection while maximizing your focus.
Information We Collect
Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The following data is stored only on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework:
- Session Data: Timer durations, session start/end times, trees chopped, and wood earned
- Progress Data: Total wood accumulated, trees chopped, focus time, and streaks
- Unlockables: Trees and axes you've unlocked, equipped items, and enchanted axes
- Preferences: Sound settings, haptic preferences, theme selection, and default timer duration
Information Synced via iCloud
If you enable iCloud sync, your data may be synced across your devices using Apple's CloudKit. This data is encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account, which we do not have access to.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Contacts or calendar information
- Usage analytics or behavioral tracking
- Advertising identifiers
How We Use Information
All data collected is used solely to provide app functionality:
- Track your focus sessions and calculate rewards
- Save your progress and unlocked items
- Remember your preferences and settings
- Sync data across your devices (when iCloud is enabled)
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Data Storage & Security
Local Storage
Your data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is protected by your device's security features, including encryption when your device is locked.
iCloud Storage
If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. Apple encrypts this data both in transit and at rest. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
No Backend Servers
Timb3r does not use any backend servers or databases. All your data remains on your device or in your personal iCloud account.
Third-Party Services
Timb3r integrates with the following Apple services:
- StoreKit: Used to process in-app purchases. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple.
- CloudKit: Used for iCloud sync. Data is stored in your personal iCloud account.
We recommend reviewing Apple's Privacy Policy for information about how they handle data.
Advertising
The free version of Timb3r may display ads. If ads are shown, they are served through Apple's SKAdNetwork, which does not track individual users. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs that track users across apps.
Children's Privacy
Timb3r is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since Timb3r does not collect personal information from any users, there is no risk of collecting children's data.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Your Rights
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account, you have full control over your data:
- Delete App Data: Uninstalling Timb3r will delete all locally stored data
- Reset Progress: Use the "Reset All Data" option in Settings to clear your progress while keeping the app installed
- iCloud Data: You can delete iCloud data through your device's iCloud settings
Data Export
You can view all your data within the app. We do not maintain any copies of your data on our servers.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
For significant changes, we will provide notice through the app or other appropriate means.
