Timb3r is a focus timer app that turns productivity into progress. Every 5 minutes of focused work chops down a tree, earning you wood that you can spend on upgrades.

Timer & Sessions
When you start a focus session, a tree appears on screen. Your axe continuously chops at the tree. After every 5 minutes of focused time, the tree falls and you earn wood. A new tree immediately spawns, and the process continues until your session ends.
Timb3r includes a 30-second grace period for brief interruptions (checking a notification, etc.). If you're away for longer than 30 seconds, your session will pause. You'll keep the wood from any trees already chopped, but you'll need to resume or restart to continue earning.
You can end a session early at any time. You'll keep the wood from trees you've already chopped. However, there's no manual pause button - the point is to encourage sustained focus!
Preset durations include 15, 25, 45, and 60 minutes. You can also set a custom duration anywhere from 5 to 120 minutes.
Progression & Unlockables
New trees and axes are unlocked by spending wood in the Workshop. Free users can unlock Pine, Oak, and Maple trees, plus Starter, Iron, and Steel axes. Pro users have access to all 6 trees (including Redwood, Cherry Blossom, and Ancient Oak) and all 6 axes (including Golden, Diamond, and Inferno).
Enchanted axes generate passive income! Each enchanted axe automatically earns 1 wood per hour, even when you're not using the app. Free users can own up to 5 enchanted axes; Pro users can own up to 10.
When you open Timb3r, any wood generated by your enchanted axes while you were away will be waiting for you. You'll see an animation showing your earnings, and the wood will be added to your total.

Go to Settings in Timb3r and tap "Restore Purchases." This will restore any previous purchases linked to your Apple ID. This is useful when reinstalling the app or switching to a new device.
Technical Issues
Make sure you:
- Are signed into iCloud on your device (Settings > [Your Name])
- Have iCloud Drive enabled for Timb3r (Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Timb3r)
- Have a stable internet connection
Try signing out and back into iCloud, then restarting the app.
Check that notifications are enabled for Timb3r:
- Open the Settings app on your device
- Scroll down and tap Timb3r
- Tap Notifications
- Enable "Allow Notifications"
First, check your in-app settings (Settings > Sound and Settings > Haptics). If those are enabled:
- Make sure your device isn't in Silent Mode (check the physical switch on iPhone)
- Check that your device volume is turned up
- For haptics, ensure System Haptics is enabled (Settings > Sounds & Haptics > System Haptics)
Timb3r is designed to be battery-efficient, but keeping any app active on screen will use some battery. Tips to minimize battery usage:
- Lower your screen brightness during focus sessions
- Enable "Keep Screen On" only when needed (Settings > Keep Screen On)
- If battery is a concern, consider shorter focus sessions
Troubleshooting
If you're experiencing issues, try these steps:
- Force quit and restart: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, swipe the Timb3r card up to close it, then reopen the app
- Check for updates: Open the App Store and check if a Timb3r update is available
- Restart your device: Sometimes a simple restart fixes unexpected issues
- Reinstall the app: Delete Timb3r and reinstall from the App Store. Don't worry - if you have iCloud sync enabled (Pro), your data will be restored. Otherwise, use "Restore Purchases" to recover your Pro status.
