Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate are the age calculations?

Our calculations are based on scientific research and veterinary guidelines, including the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) recommendations for cats and logarithmic aging models for dogs. However, these are estimates and individual pets may age differently based on genetics, health, and lifestyle factors.

Why do different dog sizes age differently?

Research shows that larger dogs tend to age faster than smaller dogs. A Great Dane, for example, may be considered a senior at age 6, while a Chihuahua of the same age is still in its prime. Our app accounts for these size-based differences in its calculations.

How do I add a pet photo?

When creating or editing a pet profile, tap on the photo area to access your photo library. Select a photo of your pet, and it will be saved to the profile. Free users can add photos to up to 2 pets; premium users have unlimited photo storage.

Why aren't my widgets updating?

iOS widgets update periodically based on system conditions. If your widget isn't showing the latest information, try:

How do I enable iCloud sync?

iCloud sync is a premium feature. After upgrading to premium:

  1. Go to Settings in the app
  2. Enable "iCloud Sync"
  3. Ensure you're signed into iCloud on your device
  4. Make sure Furbabies has permission to use iCloud in your device's Settings

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

If you've purchased premium on another device:

  1. Ensure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase
  2. Open Furbabies and go to Settings
  3. Tap "Restore Purchases"
  4. Your premium features will be restored automatically

Can I get a refund?

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support directly through the App Store or at support.apple.com.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete individual pet profiles by swiping left on them in the pet list and tapping "Delete". To remove all data, you can uninstall the app. If you have iCloud sync enabled, you may also need to remove Furbabies data from your iCloud account through Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage.
